Celebrations for The Year of Compassion : An Empowering Success, Thanks to You!

In honor of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama's 90th birthday and the Year of Compassion, the Tashi Lhunpo Foundation has been celebrating in style! It all began with a film screening of Rosmary Rawcliffe’s "Women of Tibet: Gyalyum Chemo - The Great Mother," on Sunday, August 3, at the Palo Alto Art Center Auditorium.…. and continued in October with two weeks of teachings by Palden Sengye Rinpoche culminating in a special dinner event on October 11 at the Cowper Inn in Palo Alto.

The unfolding of these events was a truly meaningful experience for all who participated. We extend a deep and heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed to making these events happen in an amazing spirit of community and to all of the new members of our community!

With your help and generosity, we spent enriching, quality time together and raised over $15,000 for the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery. These valuable funds will greatly contribute to a new senior care trust that provides financial assistance for the elderly resident lamas and monks so they can continue to live with dignity and grace.

It's our gift to honor and support the elderly residents of the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in return for their lifelong and selfless dedication to the spiritual health of humanity.
