His Holiness the Dalai Lama sojourned at the Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Bylakuppe, India, from January 5 through February 16, 2025. This monastery-in-exile was built upon request from His Holiness the Dalai Lama as a learning center in honor of His Holiness the 10th Panchen Lama, the 2nd highest spiritual leader of Tibet. During this extraordinary period of over a month, he offered prayers for the victims of the recent earthquake in Tibet, a Puja ceremony for the passing and rebirth of his brother, Gyalo Thondup La, accepted a Long Life Ceremony offering and performed a White Tara Long Life Empowerment. He also gave blessings to thousands of visitors including monks who sought his audience. Despite the needed rest, he included a Gelong (Bikku) ordination ceremony for a number of aspiring monks from the different monasteries from all over the world. We are truly grateful to the tireless devotion of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama to uphold his commitment to building a compassionate world!
