Saka Dawa commemorates the holiest and most sacred days in Tibetan Buddhism: the birth, the enlightenment and the mahaparinirvana of Buddha Shakyamuni. Special activities culminate on the 15th lunar day of the Tibetan calendar, which falls on May 31, 2026. Ushnishavijaya is a meditational deity specifically dedicated to longevity, the practices of which carry a powerful blessing which can purify the negative deeds committed in past lives and increase merit and lifespan in the present life. This special event offering is dedicated to the flourishing of world peace, well-being of all sentient beings and the fulfillment of all positive wishes.
