The Honorable Palden Sengye Rinpoche's visit in Palo Alto, California, on June 17-21 was celebrated by many enthusiastic followers and Buddhist practitioners. The teaching series covered many interesting topics including Who Is the Great Tara, Deity of Compassion?, as well as early morning meditations, a field trip to the Land of the Medicine Buddha, and teachings on other wonderfully deep and thought-provoking topics such as What Is Emptiness? and How to Calm the Mind. There was also a Q&A session simply devoted to answering questions you have always wanted to ask a lama. This was indeed a very memorable visit for all because it was Palden Sengye Rinpoche's first visit to the United States and Palo Alto. His teaching series culminated in a Long-Life White Tara Initiation, which was attended by many who benefited greatly from the ceremony. We are all very grateful to the Honorable Palden Sengye Rinpoche, a reincarnate recognized by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, for all the blessings he gave to all who came. His beautiful presence was felt by all. We hope that this is Palden Sengye Rinpoche's first of many visits, which we look forward to in the near future!
